Bullet Proof…Coffee

Just wanted to post a quick thought that is actually two-fold – practically and spiritually.

What is bullet proof coffee?

Some of you may have heard the name thrown around, or may have absolutely no idea what I am talking about.  Basically it is coffee, grass-fed butter and a spoonful of coconut oil, blended with a little cinnamon on top (well, that’s how we like it).  You may be thinking, eww, how gross is that, but it is totally delicious and VERY good for you!  The coconut oil and butter are healthy fats and a great way to start your day, usually following my shake in the morning!  Coconut oil also has so many great benefits for digestion, skin, its anti-bacterial, anti-fungal, etc.  I guess it is called bullet proof, because the idea is if you begin your day with it, you are jump-starting it with a great source of “strength” for your physical body.

On a different note, as I am embarking on what I believe to be a huge part of what God has called me to in life, something that is bigger than me and I really don’t know how I EXACTLY I am going to get there.  It has become more real to me, how the Word and I need to be one.  Meaning, everything I do, say, think or act flows from the Word of God.  If I begin every morning diving into the Bible and spending time with God, it acts as a shield and protection for my life, much like being bullet proof.  Because I am human and fail, many times a day, I need His truth.

I am reminded of Ephesians 6:10-18, which talks about putting on our armor to be able to handle all that is thrown at us, “so that after battle, we will still be standing firm.”

I encourage you…be healthy both spiritually and physically!

Being whole is being happy!IMG_6676
